The market for electric cars in India is expanding with the entry of new models each year. In addition to the entry of new technology and advancements in the field of electric vehicles, there is a perceptible shift in preference among people in general towards clean and green fuel. This preference for green fuel technology is also being advanced thanks to the encouraging nudge vis-à-vis subsidies and incentives towards electric vehicle adoption from both state and central governments.
An encouraging sign of change rests on the fact that big car brands that have traditionally focused on petrol and diesel vehicles are now actively pursuing the manufacturing of electric vehicles. All of this bodes good news for consumers because now they will have a wider range of electric cars to choose from based on their budget and design preference.
Today India has emerged as a big market for electric vehicles. As a result, both domestic and international brands are competing for consumer space within the market for electric vehicles.
Each year new brands of electric cars make their entry into the market. And this year is going to be no different. So consumers interested in electric cars can look forward to a host of new additions to electric cars in 2022 as well.
